Who's running 33x12.5 r17?
If you are running 33x12.5R17 could you share the following:
What tire are you running?
Are you pleased with it? If not, what would you change.
Are you running it on the stock wheel and the spare on the stock carrier? If mounted stock wheel on stock carrier, how did you mount it on the carrier. Any rattling or issues?
I am debating with sticking with the 255x75R17 or going with a 12.5 wide 33" tire on the stock 17" wheels on my next tire change. I know I do not want to go to 35s just yet so please don't recommend it. Eventually.
Thanks,
Gun

I was running a set of Goodyear MTR/k's (33x12.50R17) and Mickey Thompson Classic II's. No spacers needed and I ran them on 2 JKU's stock and with a 2.5" lift. No problem with the 33" mounted on the stock carrier.
They are a big difference from stock in terms of ride and sound but they are so much better. I just traded up to a set of 35's in the same tire.

I am running Dick Cepek FC-II's in 33/12.50/17. I have had them on the Jeep for almost a year now, they are working very well on road and off. Tread wear is also very good, though they are a bit loud for being a A/T tire.
I started out with them mounted on the Factory wheels with spacers at first and fitment was fine (spare just squeezed on the carrier with no spacer). Now i have them mounted to 17x9 M/T classic II's and they do have a noticeably better foot print with the wider wheel. However with the new wheels I had to extend the rubber bump stops on the tailgate to secure the spare.
My only dislike/regret is not buying 35's.

PMSupercop260 - Thanks for the feedback. I am a little worried about the ride quality. I am mostly 98% onroad and 2% offroad so I don't want to hamper my onroad ride just for a few extra off road options.
Crippler - Glad to know the stock carrier worked fine with the stock wheel. I most likely will keep the stock wheel.
Maybe I should bit the bullet and just go with 35s, but I am worried about needing a tire carrier, front axle, and regearing. If you address all of these first, I will not have any money for tires.
Thanks,
Gun

I'm running 33" Fierce Attitudes. They are an off breed made by Goodyear. They are awesome! I have had them on my Jeep now for almost 10,000 miles and they wear great. I rotate every 3,000 miles. The tread pattern is nice and sidewall as well. I paid around $220 a tire.

Jobbing - Sounds like a good reason to get some high clearance flares! Pasteris71 - Those are some nice looking tires. I am going to check them out. Thanks, Gun
