What tire, size and air pressure? Would you by E rated again? Why or why not?

I am looking at the Cooper S/T Maxx tires but they are only available with an E rating and I've read many mixed reviews on doing E's so I want to hear from some folks with first hand experience and if they would do it again or not.

I have the exact tire on my jku. They ride rough even aired down. I'm not sure if my funky handling is due to the tires being so stiff or the design of the tires. I will be getting a lighter load rating next set of tires. Should smooth things out if nothing else.

 

I'm running 35x12.50 trail grapplers at 27-28 psi and they ride fine. If I wanted a better ride I would buy a caddy and honestly I like the fact that these tires are tough as nails

 

I love my BFG A/T KO E rated 285/70/17 tires on stock wheels with RC spacers.

I would buy them again in a heartbeat. E rated tires last longer, true the ride is a little rougher, but oh well.

I got a great deal on mine, $500 for 4 with nipples still on them.

 

I've always had E rated tires on my Jeep. I had my weels and tires upgraded at the dealer when I first bought my Jeep. They installed the 245/65r16 Goodyear SR A's. I'm now running the Goodyear Duratrac's in the same size and rateig. They are very capable off-road tires. However, my rig is a daily driver. And doesn't see much off-road conditions. My next tire change will be in a C rateing.

 

I'm running a set of 10 ply (E rated) 315 75r16 kumho road venture mt's.
I run them at 40psi in town.
They're fairly smooth. A little noisy when coming to a stop (at slow speeds).

 

I would try and stay away from E Load tyres if possible. The JK rides harsh enough as stock, and many people are always trying to improve the ride by changing shocks, coils etc, but tyres also contribute considerably to your ride. I run E Load MT MTZ but in a smaller size 265/70/17, and am looking to change to a Duratrac as most of my driving is on rd. although I think that the E rating and smaller side wall contribute.

 

Im running 315 70 17 kumho road ventures e rated. Ive got mine @ 35 psi and they do fine. Like ^^^ said they are a little noisy when coming to a stop but other than that, great tire.

 

I am running the 35x12.50x17 Nitto Trail Grapplers, Load Range E. I run them on the street at 30 PSI and they handle great. Offroad I air them down to 10psi and they hardly bulge. They are tough a steel and I have yet to loose traction with them on the trail. I just ran 15 miles of Coal Creek Windrock in TN today as a matter of fact. It rained all night and the trails were slick. I wouldnt know it though, as I never lost traction. Sure the JK is COVERED in mud, but thats half the fun. I will definatley be buying them again when they wear out, although I will be going to a 37.

 

I have the toyo mt 285/75/17-e rated i run 35psi. I have 56 k on them now and they are a great tire .
