Default teraflex

What about the teraflex rear bumper? I havent seen anyone comment on it but to me it looks like it gives u more of an angle aproach and goes around the sides for protection unlike the src.

Default LoD Rear Bumper

Really like the LoD rear bumper / tire carrier. Installation went very smoothly and got a really good deal on it / and cargo rack from northridge.

The LOD bumper/tire carrier is great and all, but it is too bad they haven't figured a way to integrate to the tailgate.

Also, would be nice if you could easier access to the back driving lights should you blow a bulb...the way it is now...you have to remove the whole damn bumper.

Default Expedition One Rear Bumper & Tire Carrier

I just installed an Expedition One rear bumper and tire carrier and am very impressed. I haven't seen any other brands in person to compare it to, but this thing is high quality....although you pay for that quality as well. (I'll take some pics to add this weekend).

For me, it had everything I was looking for, but here are some features that may be positive or negative depending on your specific requirements and needs:

* Very heavy duty steel that fits the body of Jk and contours with the back fenders (not chopped)
* Quality powder coat, at least that I can tell thus far.
* Utilizes factory tow hitch
* Integrated tire carrier with tailgate (opens smoothly with one hand while opening tailgate)
* configuration of coupling between tailgate and carrier allows tailgate to remain open without swinging shut on you
* Tire carrier integration at tailgate adjustable to accommodate 1" BL
* Holds up to a 40" tire
* Step at mid bumper for accessing roof rack.
* 2 heavy duty d-ring mounts (D-rings can also be purchased and powdercoated to match)
* doesn't interfere with stock license plate mount
* no lights like LOD
* no rattles or movement thus far...solid construction and engineering.
* Easy installation and adjustment capability. Although you can't adjust tire height up or down.
* Optional cb mount (which I had them powder coat to match)
* Optional Hi-Lift mount
* Currently does not have optional cargo basket or jerry-can mounts (although they are supposed to be coming soon)

* Packaging: In all my research, I read that there had been previous issues with packaging and shipping damage....this must have been corrected, because my bumper/tire carrier was delivered by a private shipping/delivery company, parts individually wrapped in visqueen, then wrapped again as a whole, then the entire box was filled with 4"-6" of injected foam around the entire outer edges. The outside of the box was then entirely wrapped in plastic, which was a good thing, as it was protected from all the rain we're getting.

*And customer service for me was excellent!

Hope this provides a little insight and maybe another option for someone looking for this type of set up.

I had them powder coat the chrome hub cap, D-rings, and antenna mount.

I bought the Olympic 4x4 Smuggler rear bumper two weeks ago...I keep getting a two week ETA from them when I call. I'd really like to get this bumper mounted, but they have to get on the ball and make it first!!
