Default Who can see light through the seams of the trextop nx?

Can see light in the roof seams in the rear is this normal?

nope just at the tailgate.
not at the roof..

Can't see any light through mine. How bad is it? Did you have to force the panels to get the zippers to close? I'd give Bestop a shout on Monday if it's that bad.

I can see the light in the seams, but I haven't had any leaks. Mine is relatively new and I did have to work to get it stretched on.

Yea I can see light I am calling Monday to see if I can get a new top it's at both rear corner sides at the top. 600 dollars don't want any issues later on.

As tight as these tops are new, it makes sense to me for you to see a little light at the seams. As the top stretches the holes return back to normal. You want the top tight when new so when it stretches it will fit better. I've had tops that fit right out of the box, then as they stretched they became loose and leaked.

just see light at the tailgate, not the actual roof at all.

Yea I just figured if I see light in the seams that it would leak when it rains.

Does it leak at the car wash? If it doesn't leak there, you're probably good.

I'd check that first, then I'd email Bestop expressing you're concern. Kind of starting a virtual paper trail in case it does start leaking a few months from now. I don't know how long your top has been on, but looking at your location, I can imagine it's been rather chilly lately.

Do you have a heated garage? I'd be curious if you can still see light after it's been sitting in there after several hours.

When I put mine on, it was tight....really tight. But after a few weeks in the 100 degree Kansas sun, it loosened up. Just giving you a few options to think about.

I understand that a new top should be tight. But some of the stuff I've read makes it sound like the top is crazy tight when new. I've notice that the 4 door model seems to have more issues in this regard than the 2 door. I have been just mentally noting this when I see a new post. Can anyone comment on that?
