Default Where is it coming from??

I can't seem to find where this creaking/ticking sound is coming from in the front driver's side. I have narrowed it down to the general vicinity around the swaybar/pitman arm/coil spring area. It happens under acceleration/ deceleration and when the suspension cycles. I can simulate the sound by pressing down the front bumper. I have tried to get my wife to jump up and down on the front bumper (without a bra, pics to come later), but she doesn't weight enough to get enough load on the suspension. I can lay under the jeep and occassionaly make it happen by benchpressing the frame. I plan on taking it back to the dealer (dealer installed the lift) and have them track it down. I would like to find out what it is before I make the trip (around 45 miles one way). I have tightened up the front trackbar and CA's on each side. The jeep drives fine, and can't hear the sound once I get up over 30 mph probably from all the tire noise. Appreciate any input.

BeerMonkey, working on those pics, I will try to post some pics as to where I think its coming from (basically where the power steering motor is mounted to the frame). I checked out the shock bushings and they look fine. Maybe its a gremlin.

I think I found it. While I was under the jeep, I pressed up on the frame and front track bar and could feel/hear the clicking sound coming from the track bar bushing area on the driver's side. I checked it and its not loose. I took some pics and will add it to the thread here in a bit. Is this something I am gonna have to live with?

Pulmano1,

I don't think it's the trackbar, I replaced my trackbars last weekend with Teraflex trackbars and mine still does it. I think you've read my thread:

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/stock-jk-tech-12/annoying-noise-clunk-steering-column-4530/

I actually think its the Electric Disconnect on the sway bar thats doing it. All of us that have this problem need to relay to others if we have the electric sway bar disconnect....?

The reason I say this is, if you disconnect one end of your sway bar (one sway bar link), then grab onto that end of the sway bar and push it up and down, you will hear and feel that exact clunk! It's as if there's slop in the gears inside that electric disconnect! I'm betting this is the problem!

I have the electronic swaybar disconnect. I have yet to disconnect it, but I didn't notice this sound until after I did some very mild wheeling where I only used 4 high. I plan on disconnecting this weekend and will see how it goes.
