Where to buy AEV 2.5 lift
#11
I am seriously considering this lift but now I hear the bilsteins are hard riding. Anyone have any experience with this. I also heard Rancho's work better. I personally would put it on a 13 2 door sport. Input?

I have heard the bilstein 5100s are good along with the rancho 9000 which are adjustable. The rancho 7000 are not good. But this is all only what I have heard not experienced. I'm personally going with the AEV 2.5 with Bilstein 5100s that a custom made to this lift.

If you are going to spend that much money.... Look at mopar 3.5 stage 3. Just found mine at local dealer with fox shocks for $2250 and no allignment needed. Walk into any dealer and make a reasonable offer. Their cost is less than 2100.

I thought the 5100's in the AEV kit were pretty rough until I added heavy front and rear bumpers. It's kinda like riding in a 3/4 ton truck unloaded vs loaded. A lot more comfortable with the weight back there. Ace rear bumper + 35" tire made for a big improvement in ride quality for me. I was disappointed at first.

It is but when you add bump stops , fox shock , and control arms you are saving a lot. Shocks and bump stops are about $ 1300. I wasn't trying to make you spend more. Just saying usually you will end up wanting a little more. Just a good all around kit and NO warranty issues. Make sure you get an alignment. I had tire wear issues after putting a leveling kit on my rubi. I wanted bigger shoes to so 3.5 is next. My brother has some rubbing flexed with 2.5 and 35s. JMO.

If you wait a while and check out Fortec online you will see they offer the same exact lift for $899. Just thought I'd throw that out there and save you some money. They're based in Georgia. And usually have good deals and wife variety.
