I am seriously considering this lift but now I hear the bilsteins are hard riding. Anyone have any experience with this. I also heard Rancho's work better. I personally would put it on a 13 2 door sport. Input?

Have bilstein and ride great. Everyone has a different opinion on mostly everything. I use mine as a daily driver and rides much better than stock. Just my opinion though

I have heard the bilstein 5100s are good along with the rancho 9000 which are adjustable. The rancho 7000 are not good. But this is all only what I have heard not experienced. I'm personally going with the AEV 2.5 with Bilstein 5100s that a custom made to this lift.

I liked my 5100s but my fox 2.0's ride a little softer. It was a noticeable improvement for me and even the wife!! Passed the wife test.

If you are going to spend that much money.... Look at mopar 3.5 stage 3. Just found mine at local dealer with fox shocks for $2250 and no allignment needed. Walk into any dealer and make a reasonable offer. Their cost is less than 2100.

The 2.5" lift is half that cost. For those of you asking about thus lift, it is night and day bettrr than stock and worth every penny. I had a couple of friends riding in mine they were blown away how It rides compared to any stock jeep.

I thought the 5100's in the AEV kit were pretty rough until I added heavy front and rear bumpers. It's kinda like riding in a 3/4 ton truck unloaded vs loaded. A lot more comfortable with the weight back there. Ace rear bumper + 35" tire made for a big improvement in ride quality for me. I was disappointed at first.

It is but when you add bump stops , fox shock , and control arms you are saving a lot. Shocks and bump stops are about $ 1300. I wasn't trying to make you spend more. Just saying usually you will end up wanting a little more. Just a good all around kit and NO warranty issues. Make sure you get an alignment. I had tire wear issues after putting a leveling kit on my rubi. I wanted bigger shoes to so 3.5 is next. My brother has some rubbing flexed with 2.5 and 35s. JMO.

Thanks for all the advice! I'll definitely take all this into consideration. I'm going to install it myself and I have a buddy who works at Goodyear so I will get it aligned. I've got a LoD rear bumper and a metalcloak front bumper that will have a winch on it soon.

If you wait a while and check out Fortec online you will see they offer the same exact lift for $899. Just thought I'd throw that out there and save you some money. They're based in Georgia. And usually have good deals and wife variety.
