Default Wheels and Goodyear MTR

I have a 2010 unlimited JK with 2.5" teraflex lift. I want to run 17 x 35x12.5 GY MTR's. I want to use XD series black Spy wheels. I want to keep the tires inside the fenders as much as I can and not rub inside. Discount tires say the wheels come in 17x8 (+18 offset) or 17x9 ( -12 offset). I want the tires to clear inside but not be too far outside the stock fenders. Any suggestions please. I will soon add a 1" MORE BL to help clear the fenders.

I have the MTR Kevlar 35 with XD spy 17x9 on a Teraflex 2.5 coil lift. Looks perfect!!! You will be really happy with the 17x9. No rubbing at all!!!

Also, the 17x9 with -12 offset is 4.52 in backspacing and the perfect amout to keep the rear swaybar links mounted on the outside and avoid rubbing the inner fenders on the front when turning.

Thanks. That is just the info I needed. They look great on you jeep. How much do they stick outside your fenders? Are you happy with the MTR's?

FWIW, I just installed 305/75R17 MTRs on 17X8 Pro Comp wheels w/4.5" BS. These are 34.1X12R17. Only .7" shorter than the 35s and .5" narrower. The outer edge of the tires stick out 1 1/2" outside of the fenders. I stuck with the 8" wheel to get a little more protection for the rim from rocks on the trail and to hold the bead a little better aired down. I haven't installed my 3" OME lift yet and the only place they rub is on the front lower air deflecter. With it flashed to 87 octane performance, it has acceptable get up and go, although I have 513 gears to install.

How much did you have to cut off the air dam? And what did you cut it with?
