Default wheels

I have a question on wheel sizes and how they look. If I get a 12.5 inch wide tire in a 33 and put it on a 15 or 16 inch rim with enough backspacing not to rub which one will stick out further or will they be the same?

It all depends on the backspacing you have on your wheels. The less backspacing you have, the more it sticks out. I am happy with my 17"x8" wheels with 4.5" backspacing. It sticks out about an inch with my 285/70R17 tires.

There are some threads about 15 inch wheels hitting the brake calipers on our JKs. The 16s would be a better bet.
