Default wheel spacer question

So I installed my RC wheel spacers about 1000 miles ago and so far so good...I was reading the DIY section on here and it said to remove the metal clips in the front of the rotor, I didn't do this. Should I be removing the spacers to take these clips off or should I be fine? Thanks for any input

Take them off. I don't think your spacers will sit flush if you leave them on.

Yes, absolutely take them off. Even if there is only a slight gap between the spacer and rotor you may develop or already have a slight wobble.
