I have no lift with flat panel flares, running 35's with no issue

I will be lifting before I go offroad. The flat flares (either bought or OEM trim job) allow room for 35's. Going off road would be restricted with flexing

If you think you will ever go over a 35" tire go with a 17" wheel with at least a 4.5" backspacing. I am running a set of 37" creepy crawlers on 16 x8 with a 4.5" backspacing and I rub alot. didnt rub at all with 35's. You are very limited on tire selection over 35" on a 16" wheel but the tires are cheaper on 16's and 15's
