Default Is this wheel a safe choice ?? double check my choice here if you guys wuold..

Looking at a Method Race Wheel with the following specs..

*copy and paste*
Wheel Size: 16x8
Bolt Pattern: 5 on 5
Offset: 0
Back Space: 4.5
Hub Bore: 94
Wheel Weight: 24
Max Load: 2500
Finish: Matte Black

Will be going with a Evo Enforcer 3" if lift matters..

I guess the big question is backspace......Is 4.5 gonna be ok and did I get the bolt pattern right at 5 on 5 ??

Thanks..

Only problems with a 16" wheel is that your selection of tires gets smaller than if you want with a 17. Another thing to consider is if you plan any steering or brake upgrades in the future, there are many of the good kits that won't work with 16" wheels. Just my .02 from someone that went down that road and ended up with 17's.

I would def jump up to 17's for what was said prior about tire selection. Ran into this prob with my gf's JK when we wanted to run 37's and couldn't find shit for her 16's.

Other than that, you're spot on with specs and backspacing should be fine for the most part.

Depending on the size of tire you want to run, that may not be enough backspace. If I remember correctly, most wheels meant to run with 37s on a jeep have 3.5" backspace. (ATX slabs for example).

*edit*

Ended up going 17's..

Tires are going to be 35x12.5x17 4.75 on the backspace..

Thanks !!

Might also consider hub spacers to keep the wheels hub centric vs lug centric....

For example

Gorilla Hub Centric Rings 83-7150 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

You'll have to find out what the hub bore is on the 17's and get an adapter to 71.5mm if they aren't the right hub bore. Or just run them lug centric...
