Default Wheel Offset Stress?

Do wheel with a more negative offset put more stress on suspension components?
i.e. "deep dish" style prcomp rims and such?

Yes, the less backspacing a wheel has, the more leaverage it has to put stress on components such as ball joints and wheel bearing.

This also put more stress (leverage) on your axle tubes and knuckle C's, which are already a weak point on the JK.

I think you are pretty safe not exceeding the max backspacing is 4- 4.5.

I am wondering because since installing pro comp rims that I believe have a 4.5 backspacing and different offset, I have had balljoints, drag link and tie road all go. They were installed at 6K and I now have 15K. Also my ride is somewhat rough and I can feel all the little dips, bumps and road kick back in the steering wheel and gas pedal.

Hellbound, your jk is mad at you for not modding the suspension. I bet that is where your problem is. GO EVO, that's what I'm saving for at the moment.

Also , I'm running 4.5 bs with 1.5 wheel spacers. Equals 3.0 backspace, balls are hangin in there.

Yeah but you are also not running the stock suspension, right?

I can't believe the stock suspension is so weak that it can't even handle a different offset wheels..

Right, but I don't think it would make much of a measurable difference since I'm running 35's also. I could be wrong, but I don't think different springs and shocks are gonna change anything with the ball joints. 2 exact rigs , one different springs and shocks, but same tires and backspacing, can't see where that would affect the ball joints much at all.

Actually I am running the silent armors. Do you think an adjustable trackbar would help reduce the rough ride a road kick back I am getting?
