Default Whats Needed to Run 38.5 x 11 Boggers

So my Jeep chapter is coming to a close this summer.

But before I put her in the stable for weekend duty only, I am exploring my options.

I have wheel spacers and a RE 4.5" LA

Option 1: 35x12.5 R17 Boggers - No further Mods required

Option 2: 38.5 x 11 R16

I have run the KM2 35x12.5 and all of the tires here are the same weight with in a couple pounds, so I know what I am getting it as far the load on the drive train.

The question is can I run the 38.5 which is actually only 38, with only trimming the pinch rear pinch seams?

Welcome all opinions. Thanks.

Definitely trim the pinch seams. You will probably want to cut the stock fenders or buy flats to run the 38's.

Not sure about 38.5x11's but I run 38x14.5 MTR/k's with 3" lift, 1.25" BL, flat fenders, AND a lot of trimming of both the front and rear wheel wells. I could have gotten away without having to add the body lift but I didn't want to add additional bump stop.

Okay cool, I think I am going to stay with the 35's.

The 38's list just keeps growing, for not a lot of gain.

Procure 16in Rims
Trim both fender wells
reduce steering angle (possibly)
extened bump stops (possibly)

Now if interco would put the 35x12.5 out for sale???? They've been slated as "coming soon" on their website for months now.

Been down this ave before. Lots of work to make that setup work reliably. Save up and start buy upgrades. By spring youll be ready to rock and roll!
