I bet my dealer in CO would price match... It helps that I am a former employee, and the owner still does everything he can to make me happy.

The billable weight is that high in order for them to get the correct shipping cost. Most places have a system linked to say FedEx or an account and their systems don't account for dimensions most of the time. A hood would certainly qualify for an oversized package because of it's length and width.

Today while I was in the Dubai Motor Show I saw this JK with a hood that really looks good and I think it would be the one ill be installing in the very near future.
it looks just like a GC SRT8 hood !

Any idea who supplies them ?

one more thing. Im looking at upgrading my axles to Dynatrac since ill be having the extra hemi torque but I seriously don't know which one to go for . Offroad around hear is nothing close to low speed rock crawling
all we have here are sand dunes, lots of them in fact. so it would be unwise to go for a Prorock80 when there is no rock crawling involved here ! Any ideas or any suggestions on what axle to go for ?
Give Northridge 4x4 a call and they will set you up with what you need and at the best price.

That is the Mopar hood. The vents are semi functional as they only have a small opening to allow heat to be released however it is a very simple modification to cut the back side of them and make the vents fully functional. This is what we did on our hood. We don't have any pictures right now but we can snap some at some point.

There are also regional dealers that are "hubs" for moparsupercenter My local hub was close and it ships there for free. I got mine painted and installed for a total of $725.

When it rains the engine is not too wet?
Thanks for your general opinion.
