Default Whats he best winch?

OK I'm ready to buy a winch, I was thinking about the Warn 9.5xp. Are there other models or brands that are as good but at a lower price? Let me know what you have and what u think of it.

Thanks

SuperWinch is a good option; I have the EPi 9. I have only needed to use it once and it served me well. It seems to get really good reviews...

Search function on this subject would be very helpful to you. I have the Warn 9.5XP and it's fast and strong as a Rhino, but there are many good ones out there. I got my $1200 winch new in the box for $800 so I'm happy.

I have the Warn 9.5xp you are looking at...its amazing.

Its VERY fast under load, something the others are generally not....IE: Some are very fast with zero load, like the 8274-50, etc....but, when there's a load to pull, the other's lose speed VERY rapidly.

The 9.5xp takes a lickin, mine's been submerged in Pine Barrens bog water repeatedly for example, and has been weathering outdoors (Rig won't fit into the garage...) for years.....and it just WORKS....every time, no matter what.

Its also a full 9,500 lb capacity winch, the maximum the bumpers are rated for.

I have the superwinch EPi 9.0 I have only used it twice but it works great and is really fast. Also the price includes a 20,000 snatch block which cost around $80. I got mine for $600 delivered. I think it runs at 47' / min and the amp draw is low compaired to others.
