You can find them for a little over 800 and free shipping if you look hard enough

It's tough to find a good rear bumper/tire carrier combo that is both good quality and well priced. Many of the cheaper systems end up with bad tire carrier arms and rattling.

If i was going to get a rear bumper / tire carrier i would rather spend the dough and get something really awesome. Do it right the first time.

Rancho is bare bones and cheap. $400-ish. No problems with mine in a year and counting.

Months of research has led me to the or fab carrier. Its tough as nails, wont rattle, and doesnt require a bumper. It will carry gerry cans or roto pax, hi lift jack and a mounting point for cb antenna.
With tire carrier bumper combos, you get what you pay for. The engineering and components are key, so cost cutting will bite you in the butt. Busted welds, rattling, gates swinging open on the trail, etc....

Yup. The OR-FAB is a beast, if you install it properly. Getting one for my new '12 as soon as I recover from the financial ass-kicking of 3" FT lift, 35's and a buncha other stuff.

I am also looking into the OR-Fab carrier. I just cant bring myself to spend over $1000 on a bumper / tire carrier combo. For $500, OR-Fab is hard to beat. You can do a search on the forum for people's experiences with the carrier. I have yet to find a negative review (other than difficulty with installation )
