I have the Craftsman 1/2" impact it is really good as well. Just make sure you get the Lithium battery. I never thought these things would compare to air tools but they are just as strong right up until the battery dies.

Dewalt and rigid are both decent and you can usually get ridgid with other stuff as well for a deal at home depot. Working at industrial supply store. I notice our salesman usually sell makita. But if i were you i would look into makita you have batteries from other drils which will also work with your new ine. Just kmy 2 cents

I'd kept putting off getting one of these for ages, just using air wrenchs that'd served me well for decades. Was ambling through Tractor Supply a few weeks ago and they had a Dewalt 1/2" on sale for $125. WTH, I say and I snapped it up. Very satisfied with it so far, plus the batteries swap over with the Dewalt drill I have. Whichever brand you get, they really are handy and a lot less hasle than struggling with air hose, compressor racket, etc. This one seems to hold enough charge to handle 125+ ft lb torques for quite some time. Not sure how long that will last.

Go brushless, they greatly improve battery life and power. Its significantly closed the gap on air tools. Ir is nice, but we sell more Milwaukee impactors than anything at the moment....i think the last i saw was 700ft lb.

Have the Milwaukee with 600-700 ft-lbs, broke free the red loctited wheel nuts on my spacers no problem. Had to use gas on them for the snap-on to even stand a chance.

I just got a Milwaukee 1/2" M18 volt off eBay for $139. Love it. I think Milwaukee makes the best power tools. Been using them for years without any failure. I keep it in the back of the jeep and it works without fail.

They had a bad run for a few year awhile ago but are back where they need to be. Also one of the best warranties out there. On tool and battery. Also i dont believe that guy above that said they have a lifetime warranty on batteries for rigid is true.... Its 3 year on them i believe. they do offer a lifetime on there professional tools, but it does not cover wear and tear.

After many issues with Rigid tools at 2 different companies I was with, I would NEVER even think of getting one of my own. Just MHO.
