Direct from the Warn Website:
In 2005, WARN opened a sales office in the Netherlands, added a Distribution Center in Clackamas, Oregon, a distribution facility in Gahanna, Ohio and expanded its manufacturing capability by opening a new production plant in Saltillo, Mexico.
So that debate is over.
anyway, I prefer Mile Marker but when I was looking.... it was between the one I got and Smittybuilt. The XRC10 was just released and I felt it would be a good idea to let it get some legs under it first.

I'm not proud to have a Chinee Smitty8, but for 1/4 the cost of a Warn, it was in my budget. It's paid for itself with 2 extractions, and seems to be working okay.
I'd love a Warn, but I don't make enough money!!

I am saving to buy me a Warn. I have heard awesome reviews and as stated before, it is more money, but it's for obvious reasons. Keep us posted as to which one you decided on and show us pics when you have the work done. All the best to you in making a sound decision.

warn write in!!!
I bought my warn USED over 15 years ago and it has never let me down. this year it is getting a syn/blue cable to lighten her up. Get a Warn. If it dont last you forever, it is because the resale value was too good..

Quick thread jack... Does anyone know if the XRC will fit in the shrockworks bumper and still allow a cover to fit over it? Looks like the lower profile winches will fit all the way into the bumper really cleanly and allow the bumper cover plate to be used.

I'm probably like most. I have a new rear bumper, rock rails, winch, lift and sway bar discos going in this week. A winch, for most (probably 95%) is an accessory that sits on the bumper 95% of the time that you want to work the couple of times you need it.
It is way more justifiable to pay half or less for a winch that works fine than pay for a name. If you are one of the few who finds himself/herself using a winch often then maybe that's the time to buy the one that weighs and costs twice as much more than the others. That's why each of us chooses the price point and needs we have. So that's probably why the OP chose the winches in his list and wanted advice on those 3.
I went with the XRC8 as it has all the specs. I need and want in a hood ornament that may never be used - except to help pull out a Hummer or Toyota.
