I don't know if the 285/75/16 will fit with no lift but either way do not get the 265/75/16, you will be very dissapointed and want to upgrade right away. I know from experience having gone with the 33's over 35's even with a lift and now I can't wait for my tires to ware out so I can get 35's. Save and get a lift and the 285's You will regret it otherwise

And if you don't want to go all out on the lift it doesn't take much lift to fit 285's, a 2.5" teraflex would do it and there is also a lot of small spacer lifts that would work until you're ready for a full lift, Rustys also makes a 2" lift that is pretty good for the price, I have their 3.25" kit and its great

What backspacing are you going with? Any plans of a leveling kit or trimming/chopping the fenders? If the backspace is close to stock, you may rub components inside the wheel wells. If you disconnect, plan on rubbing the fenders.

IF you rub, you have lots of options. Depending on where and when and how bad.

More backspace or wheel spacers.
Bring in the steer stops.
Trim the fenders.
Trim the bumper.
Add ext bumpstops.
Drive over a few rocks and rip that stupid plastic skid off.
Etc.

Just depends.

Forgive me, not sure about the backspacing. Just know that the guy at 4WD store said that if got the 16x8 wheels that the 285/75/16 would work... I think that 4.25 is what the back spacing was, once again im not sure. Im concered about rubbing though.

285, and 4.25 back spacing will be good......if you go 35s do more research, there are other modification you will need.

So the 285/75/16 will work with the 16x8 4.25 backspacing without rubbing..... Thanks!

I have the exact same tires you are considering, definitely go with the 285s! I put them on stock rims and there's no rubbing. I really cant say enough about these tires.
