Default What wheel size will fit with no lift?

Looking at purchasing a new set of wheels for my 2010 jk. Would like to keep the same profile as stock with 255 75 R 17 Mud Terrains. Any suggestions on what wheel size I should look for? I really don't want to have the wheels stick out from underneath the flares too? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

There are some FAQ's stickied to the top of this modified area, with a decent Wheels and Tires section. Should be a good place for you to start.

Stock Backspace is 6.25. A lower number will move the tire out further. So a 5.0 BS will move the tire 1.25" further out from where they are now, etc.

Go look at your current tires and flares, and decide if you want to move the tires out a bit more, and if so, how far you can move them and still keep them covered by the flares.

If you are sticking with stock size tires, then go with a 17x8 rim. Stock backspacing is 6.25. So anything 6.25 and under will work. Obviously, if you aren't wanting it to stick out past the fenders, then you will want to stick very close to that stock backspacing and probably no less than 5" of bs. A nice, but expensive, wheel that would fit your needs well would be the AEV Pintler.

If you really wanted to you can cut the fenders to make them flat or buy flats like bushwhackers and you can fit 35's or 33's with full clearance.
