I have been thinking of this but am afraid that they wont really be strong enough to be used as a real rock rail/slider. I think they look good just not sure if they will flex too much.

I think they weigh about 40-44lbs per side.

I would hope so. If an adult man or woman can't lift 50lbs they may have health issues.
