What A/T's "run small" ??
Wasn't sure where to post this..........
I'm looking for 35" All Terrains that run on the smaller side. I bought a Ram Power Wagon that came from the factory with 33" Duratracs and they look tiny on this huge truck. It's been said by many PW owners that there are some 35's that will fit and that some others will rub.
What do you recommend ?
What A/T's are notorious for "running small"?
I'm thinking about 35" Duratracs but I'm just not sure. I don't know if they will rub.
Thank you for any input.

If you check tire sites you can see that 315/70R17 , 315/75/R16 and 35x12.5x17 are usually rated to the tame height, somewhere between 34.5 to 34.8. Just because it says 35 in the label does not mean 35 measurement. In addition, these numbers are at a given pressure (usually too high), a certain wheel width and unloaded.
It is a fact that some manufacturers run smaller than others for a number of reasons (stiff sidewalks, etc, in addition to what I mentioned earlier.
In my experience, my 315s KM2 measure under my jkur 33.5", which I what I have to program the procal unit to get the speed right.
My previous experience with KOs, and safari TSRs show the same "shortage".
Some people claim other manufacturers run closer to advertised but I haven't run any of those to judge.

Allow me to clarify the size on the KO2's, as i just recently switched to K02's in 315/70/17 2 weeks ago, from 285/70/17 KO2's, i love the damn tires what can i say
This are both sizes, side by side, BFG K02
on the left (or where the shoes in he pic are) we have a 35x12.5x17, on the right, 315/70/17
i went with 315/70/17 because they weight 62lbs vs 66 on the 35x12.5, and they're were pretty much $20 cheaper per tire. the 35 was about 1/8"-1/4" taller, the 315 was about 1/8" or so wider.
The 315/70/17 measured 33.5" in my Jeep, mounted on 17x9 wheels, 32 psi, measured chalking the tire, and making it spin one full revolution, then measuring the marks in the ground divided by pi.

You could run some 285/75/17s.......I run the Toyo AT 2s on my Jeep they are a bit narrower then the 35/12.50/17s or 315s and are right at 33 inches tall mounted on my JKUR. Just a thought......Power Wagons are sweet good luck with your decision.
