Cooper STT ?????????
I haved been thinking about the Cooper STT's in a 295 70 17.
Basically a 33.5" 11.5" 17. AND Copper says I can still run them on the 7.5" wide OEM Rubi wheel!!
This size is perfect for the stock 4.10 gears in my Rubicon being that I live in the mountains and want to still be able to use ALL 6 gears.
The only concern I have is that I have heard rumors of them chunking badly when used in the rocks. Can ANYBODY out there confirm this to be true or false??
Thanks !

I like Interco Super Swamper TSL (3 stage lug) & LTB's . These tires are awesome offroad and affordable. I plan on keeping my OEM wheels & tires and swapping out to the others when I go wheeling as they're not very road friendly.

I've had the GY MTR's,, wear quickly,, and at low speed on road feel square,, but off road or deep snow they kick ass.. I have a general dislike for BF goodrich tires as they have a soft er sidewall and I do not like the flex they have on the highway.. I do not know if the newer ones are as bad,, but the older AT's were.. For a AT type tire I have to say the firestone destination has really good road manners and wear like iron,, good in snow and ice.. off road,, not so much.. like a street tire out of place.. good in hard pack but mud.. not good.. The firestone MT has ggod reviews and I like the cooper sst's. but I'm leaning to the xtreme mt's.. or the hankooks..

I just don't get the obsession with the KM2. It looks pretty cool, but not really any better than some other choices. It's not any better than most other mud terrains in mud or rocks. It's not cheap either- seems on par with most other similar choices. Is it the leagcy of the Krawler that drives it's popularity?
Not trying to hate, just curious. It was my second choice actually.

I've had a set of detinations on my TJ for 55k miles and still they had meat to pass ST insp.. and worked ok in the rocks,, mud I would worry.. My BF's didnt last 30k and sucked,, would wallow over 70mph.. just like the POS GY gsa tires they came with,, The Destinations handled the road well,, even up to 95 mph.. I have a set on the wifes Liberty and they feel good to 115mph.. Now I wouldnt take it in the mud,, but she is way better off than with the GY sra's that were on the libby..
