One that hasn't been mentioned so far is the Goodyear MT/R. I have a Rubicon and it was my first Jeep so the only one I can compare it to is the stock BFGoodrich KM Mud Terrain. So far they have both been very good offroad tires with great sidewall strength. I will say that I've seen more chips in the sidewalls of the Goodyears than the BFG's but I wheel them a lot harder since they are 34's and I've added a lift. The tread part seems to be stronger and more aggressive with the Goodyears than the BFG Mud Terrains. The goodyears seem to grab more especially on rocks than the BFG's. I also like the sidewall tread better on the Goodyears. The Goodyears do seem to be a bit louder than the BFG's but then again they are larger than the BFG's that I had. Another one that I was considering was the KM2 and after reading the other post in this thread about the Toyo's, they sound like a good contender as well. I guess I didn't realize they are siped which is a good thing in rain and ice.

Are they softer or is it just me?
Ditto that but I've noticed with the amount of driving that I do I might go back to a bigger version of what the Jeep came with. I don't know, has anybody noticed that the mud terrains seem a little softer than the tires that came on the Rubicon?

I really like Procomp Xterrains they dig awsome in the mud and rocks, they had great road life.. a little noisy at around 70kmh but they never left me stuck just add rpm and you were moving.
A
couple guys I work with have procomp extreme AT's nd they are lasting quite well
My vote of the choices would be KM2's thats what i would buy for my JK

I preferred the Cooper STT over the Toyo's. I love my Coopers! And they last too. A buddy has Coopers and he got 70k out of them on his toyota truck. And it see's alot of offroading!
