Think of it this way...
I believe the 60" can do everything the 48" can do, but you can't make the 48" into a 60" if you ever need the extra length on the trail...

I already have a hard enough time finding a place to store my 48" jack, I couldn't imagine finding a place to store the 60.
I guess it would be different if I have a tire carrier (or other place to mount my jack), but since I don't I just throw the jack in the back of my Jeep when I hit the trails.
Just food for though, bigger isn't always better... especially when ya find out its too big to fit
