What Rock Krawler lift to buy?
I am torn between the 2.5 Max Travel and the 3.5 Mid Arm Flex systems. Both are the same price. How much more articulation does the max travel have compared to a mid arm flex? And why does the max travel flex more?
Also what else will I need to properly complete the lift? With exception of shocks obviously.

Height doesn't determine flex. It will allow the coils to stay seated running longer shocks.
Do you have a 2 or 4 door. Because RK coils are rated for a 4 door. 2.5" for the 2 door and 3.5@ for the 4 door.
More arms the better. All 8 allows wheelbase/caster and pinion angles

Both those kits have the same amount of articulation just like any other bolt on short arm kit. The use of the words flex and max are just marketing terms to make you believe you are getting something special.
Either kit should be good to go with nothing else needed but some people have a problem with bowed coils and rock krawler will recommend the use of their coil wedges. A better solution to the problem would be to cut the axle coil perches off, rotate them back to the top of the axle and weld them back on. This way the bottom perch is sitting level.
With the 3.5" lift you may need to address the front steering if you are experiencing bump steer. This effect tends to show up around 3.5"+ of lift. You may or may not experience bump steer depending on your set up. Something to think about is a drag link flip with a raised axle side track bar bracket. I would only do this if you are experiencing bump steer as it will limit your up travel.
Depending on tire size and shock length you may need to look at bump stops and limit straps.

Ouch! Where's the love?
Just making a point to answering the op's question. Are we trying to help or just add to the confusion of choosing a lift?
I did say Merry Christmas.
