What programmer or chip are you running?
Hi guys, this has probably been asked before but I can't find it yet. Just wondering what kinda chips or programmers are people running in their JK's and if your mileage improved any when you added it. Thanks

Hypertech. Biggest improvement was it fixed the speedometer for my larger (33") tires. Since I did this close to the time I did the tire swap, I can't say whether it improved gas mileage or not. One of these days, when I feel like paying extra for gas, I may reset the programmer for premium and see if the supposed mileage improvements offset the cost increase. Currently I'm collecting mileage data over an extended period to have a good baseline for comparison. The performance improvements from the Hypertech were very . . subtle.

I'm using a Hypertech. Just, um, "installed" it this past weekend, so I can't really make any MPG claims yet. As for the performance, I agree that it is subtle, but it is there. Grades that used to cause the auto to drop to 3rd are being cleared in OD. It takes less effort to maintain a steady speed on the highway. Just makes mine more drivable, which is all I was looking for.

I have the Accupro. All it does is correct tire size, gear ratio and show/clear trouble codes. I have been thinking about up grading it, but Hypertech won't get back to me. So that gives me a good sign of what their customer service is like. If they are like this when they don't have my money...

I hate to disparage the product because I haven't run premium, which is purported to give a bigger boost. But, when I installed the Hypertech software I didn't tell my son, Curtis. I then let him drive the JK and, after a bit, asked him if he noticed anything different. He drove further trying to figure out what had changed, and I finally had to tell him. Then he felt that, yeah, maybe there was a smidgen more power. I also have one grade I drive regularly that I previously downshifted one gear lower than I usually do now. Not exactly a resounding endorsement, is it?
