Default What Next???

I just installed a TF 4" lift with 35" tires.... What do I need to do next? I want to get bumpers but I have a feeling I might need to get new driveshafts or regear before I put money into my bumpers and fenders...

What do you think? Regear, Driveshafts, Bumpers or any other ideas???

With 4" get drive shafts. With 35's it may be slow but you still can get from point A to point B with your current gears.

Auto Unlimited?

Front shaft (w/ front lower adj ca's if you don't have them)
The rear may last a bit, but budget for it (and rear uppers if you don't have them)

Next step for me would be winch bumper and winch. I have run a 4" lift on a 2 dr rubi and a 4 dr x and run stock drive shafts and never had a problem. Its definitely on the list of things to do but not a priority. I think you will get more value from the winch if you are wheelin it.

Shafts are the best choice for your very next mod, but gears make a huge difference in drivability.

What kind of shafts do you recommend? Any ideas on cost? Any idea on how difficult they're to install?

Tom Woods, Coast, JE Reel, Tatton. And Teraflex and some others lift mfg's sell them as well.

Expect $450 for each shaft. And there are some good write-ups for replacing the flanges in the write-ups area. That is assuming you are going with new flanges, which you should.

You could also check with your local driveline shops to see what they can do for you. (none of my local shops gave me the warm & fuzzies, so I went with Tom Woods.)

Even if you choose another brand, I would suggest that you spend a few minutes out on Tom Woods website. Lots of great info there, both in the JK area and in the Tech Info link up top.

Here is one write-up (I actually paid my shop $25 to install mine)
