I have a 2012 rubicon, 35s, stock 4:10 gears, speedo adjusted with procal. If I try, I can get 17-18 in the city. Highway depends drastically on wind - I've gotten as low as 15 mpg hwy with a head wind at 70 mph. I often wonder if 4:56 gears would improve this, not necessarily for payback, but to increase distance per tank of gas.

@Troyoffroad- more than likely, your low mpg are due to aerodynamic drag. That roof rack is putting a parachute on a brick. When I removed the plastic air dam I lost 1.5 mpg. Going from stock 32 tires to 33 MT was another 3 mpg lost with an auto and 4.10s. Surprisingly, going from 33s to 35s I gained almost 1 mpg.

I have a mostly stock 2012 jk 2 door soft top and so far I've just got rubicon wheels on it and I'm getting an average of 16 to 17 mpg. I don't know what it was before I changed the wheels though. I just put on the Gibson cat back dual exhaust tonight so I'll see if that helps but I'm not counting on it. I have had it average about 19 mpg when I try to get good gas mileage but I have a lead foot at times which kills me
