First off........Search! There are at least 100 or more threads on this exact same topic.
Now that we have that out of the way....we need more information as to what you plan to use your Jeep for. Daily driver, strictly off-road? What are you looking to accomplish....great off-road performance? Superb on-road handling? Smooth sailing as you're bombing down whooped-out fire roads? Very important questions to ask yourself before you decide on any lift.
Next question.....budget. What are you expecting to spend? Again, it makes a difference because there are some pretty decent options out there that won't break the bank and of course those that will that offer some of the best performance around.
My recommendation as far as lifts is keep it low and keep it simple stupid. To accomplish that, stick with something under 3 inches. I'd suggest one of the Rock Krawler 2.5 kits (Stock Mod, Max Flex, etc.) I run the stock mod and 37's and have no complaints. My rig was a daily driver for about 18 months before it got retired to weekend warrior duty. Good on-road manners (for a Jeep with 37" tires), good off-road performance, and I didn't break the bank to get it. Key advice on that.....if you can do it....or know someone who can (who can help at least).....install it yourself. You'll save at least 50% of the cost and learn a lot about your rig in the process. That way if & when something breaks on the trail, you'll know how to fix it. You can also pass your newfound knowledge on to others with the same questions you have. Paying it forward is definitely a core value of the Jeep community in my honest opinion.
Hope this helps at least get you started.
And for all the information you really need to know to back up what I just said.....

Yellowfin shared some good advice. After I bought my JK I had no suspension experience but after installing my 5" lift myself I gained a lot of knowledge which you will definitely need when something goes wrong, not to mention keeping extra parts and tools around. Personally I started out with a cheap skyjacker lift but over the last couple of years and reading post I have swopped out all of my parts for rockkrawler. It's great your asking the questions now.
My advice is to not go cheap the first time out. Rockkrawler, BDS, and Teraflex have very strong pieces that are rebuild able and have zirc fittings to apply grease. Hope this helps.

Right now it looks like Rockcrawler has the advantage of flex and durability along with quality. On the 2.5 stock market running 35 inch tires with flat fenders what else would I need to add. Because I'm torn between the 2.5 TeraFlex or the 2.5 stockmarket Rockcrawler

Oh and longer rear sway bar links. And front disconnects.

X2; I've got the AEV 3.5", 35's on a '13 2dr Rubi and can't believe how well it handles on road as well as off. Keep in mind you get what you pay for. I've had BDS and Procomp on previous wranlgers; the BDS was great but the Procomp was garbage.
