Who is trolling you? I just responded to being quoted.

From your posts you have stated that you just got a new jeep and want a better suspension with more articulation although you don't know how much lift you currently have or what brand it is. You have factory shocks and not sure about the coils. You would like to have a suspension that has color in it. You post up a photo of you jeep from 20' away, how are we going to help you tell what you have from that distance with the wheels on. You make no statements on what you plan to do with your jeep, what goals you have, or your budget. You say the ride is fine but for some reason want to change it. You ask for a specific lift recommendation from about 300 that are on the market for the JK.

There are two stickies on top of the modified page for those asking a question and posting for the first time. If would use the search you will find about 9 pages that ask the same question that you did. This question gets asked about 3 times every day by new members.

Your profile is not filled out which is very helpful to members to gather info to answer your questions. The more we know about what you have and what you plan to do will make answering your questions much easier. Asking a general question like you did will get you very little info except a bunch of people that want to post up photos of their rigs and tell you how good the lift they bought is.

There are also show off threads all over the place with photos of rigs on any size lift, tires, or color combo out there.

I am sorry if you are offended by the way my comment about the paint was worded.

I offered answers to your questions and if you don't want help from people that do more then just bolt on stuff I will make sure to block you so I do not offend you again.

I'm sorry off my lack of knowledge. I truly am. It was intended to be a general question just to get an idea. I literally just made my profile and posted and have yet to fill it out. I just don't see how you pointing out all my flaws is really gonna help the situation. I'm just trying to get a idea of most people go with for a suspension lift. Just a general description, that's it.

Once again I'm sorry guys but I came here to learn. I don't know everything. Sorry about the vague post, I'll figure it out.

Which lift to choose will obviously depend on what you plan lifting the jeep to. Once you go above 3" you'll need to start changing out many more components. Some of the most talked about and highest rated components lately seem to be Fox, Bilstein, Synergy, Old Man Emu and Teraflex. I'd suggest figuring out what height you're hoping for and talk to one of the forum reps from your dealer of choice (Quadratec, Northridge, 4wd etc.) about what you're looking to do with your rig vs. spend.

If you're interested in something that has a unique look and great performance, I'd suggest checking out Fox! If you have a shit ton of cash to spend and want something really badass, a set of King coilovers would be sweet.

No problem - don't let this experience discourage you from utilizing this forum as an extreme valuable tool. Sometimes there are just people with nothing better to do...as long as you can ignore the BS you'll learn a ton on here!

Back on point...

I went with Rancho on my 2010 Sahara Unlimited because I wanted adjustable shocks. With the RS9000XL shocks I can get better-than-stock ride at highway speeds (70+mph) and don't have to sacrifice off-road flex. It didn't hurt that I caught a sale and got lift and shocks for the price of the lift alone. For a 4" lift, the stability is great.

Unless you ford streams/mud holes like me, stay with the minimum height that will fit your tires. 3" lift on a 2-door with 35s is plenty. Even a 2.5" lift with fender, bumper and pinch seam mods will work.

Besides, the Rancho 3" Trail Lift looks purty in red.
