Default What is the heat shield glue inside the tub and how to remove it?

Im trying to figure out how to remove the glue or whatever the stuff is that i think is used to reduce heat. Its over the muffler and all the floor where your feet would normally go.
Im doing this to prep my car for so line-x
i want the tub to look clean as possible and getting this out would be super nice

Why do you insist on killing poor inocent kittens


I here a chisel and some elbow grease works well. Also I wire brush once you get most of it off (you are line-x'ing it anyway).

and yes i am but i still want the cleanest finish i can get and that needs to come out for it to happen

I agree, do it right the first time, but seriously, most of the guys on here used a chisel/putty knive and a wire brush for clean-up and they have great results.

i scraped most of that crap out , but i was thinking about renting a needle gun from a tool place...
