Default What have I done wrong???

Over the past year the ride in my JKU has gone to "poop". Granted I know I didn't buy a luxury SUV, and when I first bought the jeep the ride was good, which is one of the factors that let me know that the JKU was the jeep for me. The ride stock was surprisingly okay, not all bumpy and stuff like older jeeps I had ridden in.

Granted this could be my own fault, and that is why I am asking, because as of right now...the ride in my JKU absolutely sucks, I can literally feel every little bump in the road, my steering is flighty as all get out, and now I have a "wobble" at 40 mph. This is what I have done, please tell me if I did this to myself or if there is something I can do to help out the situation.

I added:

OME HD springs 619/618 - " I am thinking this has something to do with the rough ride"
TF Leveling Kit -
Bilstein Shocks - thought this would actually "improve" the ride
JKS Quick Disco's -
35" Nitto Trail Grapplers - E load - " I am thinking this has something to do with the rough ride"

I just ordered a bilstein steering stabilizer and JKS adjustable track bar from David, so hopefully that will cure the wobble part (tires were balanced this week just to be safe).

I am not looking for a "cadillac ride here", just something close to stock .... am I just a big sissy...and should suck it up and just get used to the bumpy ride???

Thanks in advance!!

The bilstien shocks are a more firm or rougher ride than factory but not horrible.

The Nitto tires are absolutely aweful ride on the road. Only tire that could be worse ride on the road is super swamper boggers.

Springs can contribute to the ride also

I would say 15% shocks
15% springs
70% tires.

There is a reason they put certain load rated tires on certain vehicles. The higher u go up in load ratings, the thicker and tougher the tire gets to handle the higher load. Air pressure plays a part but the side wall of the tire transmittes the vibration of impacts to ur seat.

Nittos are awesome tires off road, but u gotta sacrafice on road ride quality to achieve it.

Track bar should really help. I'm sure some of the other guys and gals will chime in with some tire pressure recommendations.

The trail grappler is the best mt on the street I have run. I run my 37s at 28-29 psi and drive 50 miles a day.Check your tire pressure and look into some softer shocks like Rancho.

My guesstimate:

Reason # 1 E Rated tires, I kept mine at 26-27 PSI on the street and they rode fine.

Reason # 2 HD rated springs

As far as the wobble, I can't guess, are your axles centered?

I don't see that "curing" the problem.

Just keep playing with the air pressure on those tires, drop below 30 psi.

BTW, I use those same tires and mine rides like a Caddy.

I meant to cure the wobble only

Still, I don't see what that will change. Well, actually I do so that's why I don't see how it will cure a wobble issue. Guaranteed that is a tire/rim/balance related issue.
