that's probably a good setup and one that i might end up going with but, i think i'm still going to test things out with the stock 4.10's.

Actually I'm really curious about how it drives on the 4.10s myself. We went ahead and did the gear change while everything was apart for the lift and sleeves, new axle shafts, etc.

yeah, if i were doing all that, it would have been hard not to just do the gear at the same time too.

I have a 12 auto with 37s and 4.88 and seems like its about perfect except at highway speed of around 70 the rpm's are around 3000. So I like to travel around 60 and get a little better mpg.

hmmm, that's really good info right there. i was afraid that might be the case and was wondering if 4.56's might be the better way to go. i've ridden in a 2012 with 35's and stock gears and thanks to the 3.6L, i couldn't even tell if there was a loss in power. being that i have 4.10s, i'm hoping the loss will be insignificant at best and, if so, i may leave well enough alone.

Interesting info; this topic got me wondering if the Auto is geared lower in OD then the Manual. Found this doc:

h t t p://www.media.chrysler.com/dcxms/assets/specs/2012_JP_Wrangler_Unltd_Specs.pdf

Apparently the Automatic is geared lower in OD. Per that pdf from Chrysler, for the Manual top gear is 0.797 and for the Automatic top gear is 0.83.

Snapshot in case url doesn't work:

But I do think 4.56s would be the perfect gears for me, if I had it to do over. That new engine is a game changer.
