Just wanted to see what gear ratio every one is looking for? This is a new vehicle that likes to rev higher than the old 4.0

Got my 5.13's today. I have 37's. I know the 4.88's would have put me very close to stock, but with the additional rolling mass of the tires, extra weight (bumpers, winch etc,), automatic with the deep overdrive (.69) and plus I will occasionally be towing my pop up, I went to the 5.13. Can't wait till Monday to have them installed....

Oh, trust me, I've ridden in Off Road Evolutions JK with 37's and 5.13's and can tell you that you absolutely made the right decision. You're gonna love what it does for your Jeep

How much tooth contact is there with the D44 5.13 gears? Just wondering if there's enough so it's not the weak point.

Default Which one?

So what are the advantages of one over the other. I'm running 37s on a 4.5 inch lift with an auto tranny. Can anyone tell me the straight stuff, because I don't know I would like good power and the best mileage possible, all things considered of course. I'm in need of gears soon, so any light you guys could shed on this would be cool.

You can waste just as much gas down shifting all the time with a gear that is to high.

Yeah, but you have 37's. Would you still recommend going 5.13's with 35's? I am sincerely interested.

I was just going to post the same..

I was very happy with how quick it was stock, 4:10's and a 6 speed..

I'd like to regear for 35's. But 37's is not out of the question in the future..

regearing twice doesnt make sense...
