Default What to do?

I'm new to the jeep thing. I've grown up on dirt bikes and tractors and finally got a job where I could afford to jeep... I have a 2012 2 door rubi and want to do it right. I want to go 3.5 max travel from rock krawler so that later I can extend my wheel base or add height if needed. That being said should I wait for armor, skids bumpers, the mix until I instal so I can trim them as needed. Or protection first. I'm patient. I will wait to wheel after I have protection done after the lift after I've seen the missing necessities for true crawling. I'm not looking for a dd I'm looking for something I can tolerate to the trails to wheel. Any input would be great I've been reading this forum for the last 3 months and now know what I want just need help on what order to go. All input appreciated and thanks in advance.

I would say that the lift is more important than the armor because a properly lifted Jeep will keep your body off the rocks.

I would say lift first as well. Not many people will get under your Jeep and say nice armour. But a lift gets attention

That and minor trails won't require armour if lifted right

id say before you even think about the lift and armor, figure out what size tires you intend on running. That will dictate how much lift you need to clear the tires, what type of bumper/tire carrier you will need, and if you need to invest in building your axles before armoring up the jeep. As everyone else has stated, a well lifted rig will keep the body off the rocks...for now.

its also pretty ballsy buying a 2012 jeep and immediately designating it as a trail rig. Build it right, keep it riding right, and dont beat the Sh*t out of it. Its a brand new vehicle and jeep has made some major improvements in on-road manners. Enjoy it for everything it has to offer

Let us know if you need any info on the kit and the compatability with other products!

37 or 36 inch tires with fenders whacked. Also will be putting a truss on my axle and switching my shafts to something a little tougher. Picking RK not be cuz I want my rig to just look good but operate good too. I like the 1 inch relocation of the axle and possibility to extend longer further down the road. I will go with there coil over system in the front and just worry about wanting to wheel it up before getting squared away underneath. I've decided on rancho for my front diff as I like the way it has a skid guide as well to help by not just slamming on a flat surface. As to calling it ballsy to designate this jeep just a trail rig might be a little off. I do agree it's tough to do to a 12 but it's why I bought it. I have my work truck for driving around and can't wait to get this jeep doing what it's supposed to do.

Also looking at poison spider for my bumpers... Waiting for there stinger to come out here pretty soon. And probably going to run evo for my skids. As to shafts still haven't picked a brand but running 1350. I just worry about lifts and armor not working together.
