Default What is the cost to re-gear both axles?

What is the cost to re-gear a Dana 30 or Dana 44 to a 4:88 or 5:13?

Thanks,
Jacob

complete with gears and install kits, you're probably looking at about $1200-$1500.

Yes, that would include labor. I paid $1,200 for new Superior gears and install at a top-rated shop here in SoCal.

ya what wol said. that would be gears, all labor, and materials. It ended up costing me $1190. Then another $100 about 500 miles later because I wanted to pay them to get the gears inspected, cleaned well, and change the gear oil to synthetic. It only really needs to have the oil changed at 500 unless the magnet or fluid has anything more than metal shavings in it. I just want to be sure it is ok, since I drivve it everyday.

My local dealr quoted me $2000 for labor only this past weekend.... They told me it is worth the extra price because they would cover the warranty...

Needless to say I won't be taking it to them...
