Default What to check for-lift.

I just installed a 1 3/4 inch Daystar spacer lift in my 2 dr JK, anything I should watch for a problem? I seen talk on the forum of driveshaft/skidplate problems. I don't use the vehicle hard, only light off-road use.

Assuming the install was good (all components loosened, spacers installed, all components torqued to spec while on the ground with vehicle weight on), you shouldn't have any issues at that height. Driveshaft problems on auto's generally start around 2.5" if you disconnect and have long travel shocks. Shorter shocks and no disconnecting, you may be ok to 3.5 or 4 or so.

Everything should be ok till you decide to get a nice coil lift.

Definitely nice to get a little height for only a tiny bit of coin though, nice JK

You may now have to worry about more people starring at it due to it looking more bad ass.

Default Lift questions

Thanks for the info. I had the front end alinement ckecked at a shop, and they said everything looked OK. Its is a auto, and I have seen where there could be a problem with the front driveshaft. I didn't think 1 3/4 would be that bad for driveshaft angles.

Thanks again for info.
