You don't understand...the front shock shaft have to be pushed (about 50 lbs of force) to fit in the shock mounts, the shafts are constantly trying to extend out due to high gas pressures. So when you install them there's about 100 lbs of force pushing the shafts..that was enough to give me a 1/2" of lift...I took measurement before and after the install. Even my sway bar appears to be more horizontal, and shock pads have even extended away from bumpstop.

I get what your saying. It should take a lot of force to push the shaft in, but not nearly as much to keep it in. If the jeep measured taller after, then you must be right, with your application.

The 5100 are about 80 a pop. Worth every penny. People say they are firm, I disagree.

All that I've ever seen. If you wanted to keep your monochrome look, you could hit them with some rattle can.
