What am I REALLY going to find with bigger tires?

I am looking to fit 275/70/18 (33.4") ST MAXXs to replace my 255/70/18 (32.2") Duellers. My real concern is going from 39lb per corner to 60lb, I have 3.21 diffs. How much, in the 'real daily driver world' am I going to find the additional 20lb per corner affects the drive of the Jeep?

I agree most people in the US have never driven a diesel Jeep so therefor will provide little help for you on this. That being said you are only going up less than a inch so that should not really be an issue. The weight of the tires is more significant by adding 20lbs per wheel of rotational mass and unsprung weight. I do think with almost 400 ft/lbs of torque available you will be fine and not notice a lot of difference in acceleration. You may notice a slightly bumpier ride due to the increased weight of the tires. I have two diesel trucks and they are a lot different than gas trucks I've had too. There is a lot more power at low rpms than in a gas vehicle.

I'm really curious about this too, now. I've been reading this thread and wanted to ask opinions. I have a 2012 JK 2 door with the 6 speed manual and 3.6 Pentastar. It's a sport, so I have the 3.21 ratio and I was curious to see if anyone has run 35" tires on this setup with factory gears (315/70/17 duratracs)
Eventually I am definitely going to re-gear, but any thoughts for now??
Thanks!

What your going to find is a load of mixed reviews of people saying suck and people saying go for. That is what you will find. I am a person who went with a 3.8 and 3.21 and 6speed and sure I lost 4 hi and 6th gear. But at the time it is what I could afford so I did it. I never regretted it. It was fun wheeling. But. I will say once u do have the money to get gears it makes a huge difference and is nice. But I can understand doing tires before gears

Now I've heard the same about 6th gear, but did I read your post wrong in saying that you lost 4 hi?? Was that a typo or did I just misunderstand?

I have 25000 on my '12 JK with 35's and 3.21s. As long as you have the 3.6 it's not bad at all. You do lose 6th gear but its totally not worth the expense to regear in my opinion unless you spend a LOT of time crawling. I'm planning on giving 37's a try as soon as these wear out. I'll report back on how bad 3.21s are with those.
