Default What am I missing...?

Looking to buy a Rock Krawler 2.5" Flex kit tomorrow. Help me fill in the gaps with the other key components I need to be factoring in:
  • Rock Krawler 2.5 Flex Kit
  • Bumpstops (thinking Fox 2.0...will these work?)
  • Fox 2.0 shocks 2"-4" lift (already have these installed)
  • What else?

Any other thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks!

Call RK and ask their engineers what size bump stops they recommend front and rear for your specific combination of coils, shocks, wheels, and tires. It'll probably be 2" or 3" at both ends, and RK sells some decent stops...

You'll also want to order the RK Front Coil Spring Clips of they're not included in the kit, and you may wish to consider swapping out all of your stock hardware with Northridge4x4's Grade 8 Upgraded Hardware for JK's. (If you do swap the hardware, you'll need to drill out the joints in the RK arms to fit 9/16 hardware... I did it... it's easy!)

Awesome info! And thanks for this tip. I would not have thought to inquire about this. Thanks!

Highly recommend swapping out the bolts. I did mine with only 5500 miles on and the threads had already started eating away at the inside of the bolt holes.

I would recommend rear upper adjustable control arms so you can dial in your pinion angle in the rear. Without that, you may have vibration issues plus it would extend the life of your stock rear driveshaft.

I have the teraflex 2.5 lift. I went with a half inch spacer in the front, 1 inch in the rear. Gave me enough lift to do a drag link flip. I bought adjustable front lower control arms to dial in the caster, and adjustable rear uppers to dial in the pinion. I have new driveshafts front and rear. HD tie rid from synergy, new upper and lower ball joints, gussets, sleeves. I run teraflex bump stops front and rear. 35 inch procomp mud terrains on procomp la Paz rims. I'm also flat fendered. I'm running Bilstein shocks.

Rides a tiny bit floaty, but I take this as due to running bigger tires, as I have the requisite 1/8 toe in and about 6 degrees of caster.

Good luck with your build

What's the purpose of the 1/8 toe in, and how do you determine if you need it, or not?

Also, if I got a full front-end alignment after installing the lift, did the Toe In get adjusted as part of the standard alignment? I don't have any wobble, so I'm hoping the alignment took care of that...

(Sorry for the hijack, but I had to ask... I'm still a Noob! lol)

What's the urgency on tacking on the upper control arms? Is this something I should do ASAP or can it wait a little?

Thanks.
