Saw a guy around town today with what looked like the Garvin rack and his 37 mounted on top of the rack - looked great.

I was thinking about just securing it behind the rear seat somehow as a temporary solution. Ive seen some people with the mounted on the roll bar somehow but only without the roof on. Any good products out there or should I start saving my pennies for a bumper/carrier combo?

I'm in the same situation man, I just put 35s on mine and currently have my 5th wheel in the trunk of my 4door.. I have no where else to store it and the smell of rubber is starting to get nauseating lol I really like that Genright look! (ohh and HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WE GO!!!) Haha I also saw on another forum a carrier called Maximus-3 which was also pretty nice although I couldn't seem to find it online when I looked.. Here are some photos of how it currently sits..

I carry my second spare on the roof rack. And a tire repair kit, and an air compressor. But, sometimes the damage is not easily repaired with a typical tire repair kit. So, carry a better tire repair kit (extremeoutback.com/product/27/Ultimate+Puncture+Repair+Kit.html), one that includes a Baja boot to fix up that rip in the sidewall. Of course, some folks don't take their Jeeps where having two spares and the ability to repair almost any damage that a spare could endure are required.

Tin foil, what picture are you looking at?? Thought it looked pretty good myself, the factory carrier is like tin foil, compared to the price of the Tera flex, I think it's a pretty good deal if someone need to change out stock, Tera flex is mighty proud if theirs and some of the reviews I've read talk like theirs is made of tin foil, hope it comes with Vaseline, bend over

OEM: Cast (pot) aluminum.

Draken Offroad: Steel.

Teraflex: Aluminum.

I have no problem seeing a price scale there.

I think you're greatly understating the differences, not that I care to debate this further, or that this is the right place to do so.
