Most rubbing issues seem to be with steel wheels. If you have the wheels on hand, I would throw one on and see how it fits. It's pretty hit or miss whether or not guys have to grind the caliper slightly.

Default 15 inch Pro Comp rims

So if you up grade to a 37 later you may not get the tire you want.Attachment 149203Attachment 149204Attachment 149205Attachment 149206
Hello,

Do you think any 15" Pro Comp wheels will fit the JK Jeep?

Thanks!

Now, I'm a total newb as i'm picking up my jeep tomorrow. Can't wait. I'm getting the 2012 base sport model with the 15" wheels and plan on customizing it from there. I'll most likely drive it for 6 months or so before making any big decisions and upgrade as needed and as i can afford it. Then increase my off roading terrain as my setup permits.

Big question... I'm okay with sticking with the stock wheels but will want a tire that's more off road friendly... about a 50/50 tire. nothing hard core yet. I want to get a tire that will be much bigger (taller) than stock that still works on the stock rims and is a 50/50. I know a lot of the tech stuff for my BMW F800 but don't know squat about Jeeps.

Any non super tech answers would be much appreciated.... again, wanting to stick with the stock rims for starters

cheers,
Mark

base comes with 16 inch wheels... if you upgrade to wide tires you will need to run wheel spacers. You should be able to fit something like a 285/75/16 or a 305/70/16 on your stock wheels and run them with spacers without too much trouble.
