Default Wet Olkole Info

O.k. I did some searches and I have decided on the wet Okole covers as most people say they fit perfectly. I'm just wondering if they are truly waterproof. In other words if I leave the top off in the rain will my ass get wet with these seat covers or do they shed water?

Your ass will get wet. The neoprene does dry fairly quickly, though, and water won't penetrate to the seat.

The wetokoles that I had on my cj-7 penetrated to the seat but not much, they only did this if they were soaked and you sat on them and mushed the water through the neoprene or either they sweated. I know because I had corvette seats in it that were fabric(suede or something ) and I pulled the covers off the next day and seats were wet, not real bad but still wet, they are not completely water proof. They only lasted about 2 years but they saw alot of sun, water and mud and finally rotted and ripped. My seats still looked good though so they did protect them , but I do recommend that you pull them off after heavy water to let your seats completely dry.

I'll check these out. It's getting too hot here () to wear my waterproof hiking pants after a rain. I need to get down with some dry ass so i'll look into the pleather sh%t. Thanks, keep it coming.

Default Key in a passing rainstorm

I would highly recommend either Wet Okole's or Seatglover's. I had Wet Okole's in my TJ which got dumped on by a passing rainstorm while I was in class one night. I simply splashed the puddle off the seat, and had a wet ride home, but after taking off the covers for the night and leaving the top off in my garage, both the seats and the covers were bone dry in the morning, ready to go again. The neoprene kept the seats dry the whole time.
The Seatglovers are a couple hundred $$ cheaper than the Okole's, so I will probably go with the seatglovers with my JK. I can't wait for Spring to test them out.

I've read here that the seatglovers fit a little crappily. I'm willing to pay if they fit right.

Yeah you can still get "wet ass" even when they look dry, First day I had them on my CJ I steamcleand the whole jeep inside and out. Damn things looked dry, felt dry too at first , sat in it to go from my grandpa's to my house(500ft) by the time I got home had to change my jeans.

I had Wet Okole's covering all the seats in my Ford SuperCrew and cannot reccomend them highly enough! The fit and finish was excellent. I drove it for 6yrs and had young kids covered in mud all over in that truck, when I took them off (gave to a friend for his SCrew) to sell it the leather seats were in perfect condition. I had weathertec mats on the floor (also went to my buddy) and the combination of the two kept my interior in excellent shape.

Needless to say, I'll be putting them in my JK. I just need to figure out which colors to get. Best part is they'll send you color swatches you so you can check the match before ordering...

Cheers,
Gadget

Great idea on the color swatch, I wonder how the red matches up?
