Default West Marine Hood Vents

I just put these on my jeep a few days ago because I was looking at reducing under hood temperatures and didn't like all the huge "plate" vents that other vendors had. I found these from West Marine and they are made for a boat but look awesome on my Jeep. Oh and they were only $20...

If enough people are interested in them I could do a quick write up on how I installed them.

Let me know what you think.

I like the clean look these have, especially for $20

Those look pretty nice. Is there any mesh type material under the louvers or open to the engine bay? An overhead shot would be nice

It's just open to the engine bay although it would be pretty easy to get some mesh mounted under there. To be honest I don't think there's anything that would go in there that wouldn't just fall out under the jeep.

Ill get some top down or rather maybe some bottom up pictures for you.

Are you going to do a writeup on these and do the flaps lay down?

They look good, but aren't they over the electrical and air box on the passenger side?

Only reason why I like the Poison spyder one is that it's directly over the engine allowing the heat to easily escape.
