Well look at this link. We (the North American purchasers) got royally screwed. The lineup of Mopar mods to Jeeps have a Jeep for just about every need here. A diesel JKUR back in 2008 and a 6.1 Hemi JKL unit. Where did they go and why did Chrysler not ask who wanted one? All I can say is thank you Ford Bronco for creating some competition and forcing FCA's hand..... and I found this trying to find out what CFM flow rating the 2008 Jeep muffler is.
You should thank Trump for relaxing Cafe standards that were put into place under the Obama Administration that kept car companies from putting in bigger motors and diesels. There in fact was a JK diesel for the rest of the world but not North America because of the environmentalist wackos. Now that Biden looks to be the next president and is basically reinstalling the former Obama people the chances the good that we may not see Heim Jeep.

100% correct.. the Environmental regs that Obama/Biden put thru the EPA KEPT all US Auto handcuffed. The lack of Diesel exhaust requirements Delayed the Automakers investment into Diesel for decades.. FCA thanks to access to European Diesels could finally move into that segment; and now Biden is back again; HELP.
