Default Welding on a JK,???

Any special considerations other than disconnecting the battery?

Does the ecu need to be disconnected and if so, where?

I have a horrible vibration noise when I hit 4800 rpm and found that a weld on the heatsheild on the exhaust pipe crossing under my tranny broke free... Need to fix that up right quick but want to make sure I don't fry my ECU....

I welded some custom sliders onto my Jeep and all I did was disconnect the battery. It worked just fine! I did nothing with the ECU

I like to stick a pair of welding gloves over the battery posts so nothing accidently connects while I'm working.
