Weld Failure Dana 44

Had a very scary event last week. While driving though a parking lot I lost steering all of a sudden. It appears the welds that were done on the aftermarket track bar bracket failed because of a poor job welding. What is strange is it appears that because once the aftermarket piece failed the OEM welds also failed and the entire piece was torn free of the Dana 44 tube.

Anybody else?

This is on a 2010 JK 2door Rubicon 2.5 RK lift with 35” Goodyear MTRk’s
