Default weight of shrockwork sliders

i was going to (watched the yankee game instead ) install my shrockwork rock sliders i got for my 09' unlimited last night so i put them on a scale first. they weigh 53pounds each without mounting bolts.

for comparison, does someone know what the stock rubi rock rails weigh in at for a 4 door? how about the weight of rubi enhanced rails?

cheers

I would guess 25lbs for factory sliders. I put mine on myself pretty easily and they were pretty light. I helped install some Shrocks and they weigh a ton...

i took the shrocks out of the boxes last night and figured i would need help getting them bolted up. i dont think i can hold these with one hand and bolt them up alone. that;s why they didn't get installed yet. hopefully this weekend.

If you have them use a jack stand and a floor jack to hold them up so you can bolt em' up. I don't mean to insult you by giving the obvious answer, but many times the obvious alludes me.

Default shrock rails

i have the rails and they are awesome... yes they are heavy but very easy to install. i used wooden blocks to prop them up . no problem at all and the stock rails are about 45 pounds each..

I installed mine by myself. Used a jack stand to hold one side while I bolted the other.

Yeah, the Shrockworks sliders are heavy, but they are so much better than stock! Besides, they really go with the front/rear bumpers. Now if Shrockworks would come out with fenders.
